Ben HollisPLUS -- Special Guest

Ben Hollis of Wild Chicago and "What's it like to be YOU?" fame will interview a few agreeable folks from the crowd -- for our very own edition of "What's it Like to be YOU?"

$15 in advance; $20 at the door
Bring the kids, 12+, too!

What’s the fun & creativity for 3 hours?

  • "Be the Reporter"! Instead of dull networking, we’ll be doing fun networking, as each of us will be assigned a question to "investigate". None of that "What do you do?" or "What’s your sign?" nonsense here!
  • Channel your inner Ryan Stiles with Improv Games. Several improv wizards will lead activities throughout in our Think-on-Your-Feet Room
  • No cheating in our Game Room! Play the next "Monopoly success" with the actual inventor! Maybe they’ll give out insider tips on how to win!
  • In what ways may we be more creative? (IWWMW...) Stop by the Tips, Toys & Tools Room for the latest thinking and fun around ideation, brainstorming and hot ways to innovation. Crayons will be plentiful!
  • Fast times at Pecha Kucha High! Have you seen this yet? Presenters have 20 ppt. slides and no more than 5 minutes to present their big idea. Come see how well they do. Or sign up to do a presentation and bring your flashdrive!
  • Tour the coolest new creativity facility in town! The Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana have the niftiest space and we’re playing in it -- Journey World! Take a tour through the city and the outdoors. Camp stools are provided.

BUT WAIT.... There’s More!

At 3:00 Ben Hollis will delight us with his "investigative reporting skills" as he interviews some of the guests and learns "What’s It Like to Be You?" Ben has earned eight Emmy Awards and a Studs Terkel Award and is best known as the pith-helmeted, khaki-clad original host and co-creator of PBS hit shows Wild Chicago and Wild Chicago’s Illinois Road Trip.

About the Chicago Creative Community Funsters.

We’re just a gang of people who are somehow connected through creative work or fun in Chicago. Some of us do new product work, some are ideation and problem solving facilitators, some invent toys and games. Some work for Chicago’s biggest brands, others teach creativity or strategic planning, some are great artists or writers. Many of us met through the Creative Problem Solving Institute. But we’re all passionate about bringing more creativity to our world. Be one of us. Get on our e-mail list at the celebration.
